WOW!!! I have been loving my Spiralizer and this recipe was delicious too!! Many people love pasta and noodles. However, there are healthy alternatives to pasta that are just as delicious. Get some fresh broccoli and your spiralizer and make up some “broodles”!
Ingredients for Healthy Turkey Bacon Broodles
-1 head of broccoli
-4 slices of organic turkey bacon (I get mine at Wegmans)
-1 blue container of feta cheese (optional)
-1 TBS EVOO (extra virgin olive oil)
-Flaked red pepper (to taste)
-Sea Salt and Pepper (to taste)
-Juice of 1 lemon
-3 crushed garlic cloves
-1/2 diced red bell pepper
-1 tsp coconut oil
-Cut the broccoli florets off of the stems and put into a steamer and also (after spiralizing the stem of the broccoli, add the Broodles (broccoli noodles) too to the steamer and let steam until tender
-In a pan melt 1 tsp coconut oil. Cook the turkey bacon on each side and then set aside. When cool cut it into pieces.
-In the same pan add the EVOO, the red bell pepper, the flaked red pepper, the garlic, the salt & pepper and then combine the broccoli in the pan.
-Add the juice of the lemon and the turkey bacon.
-Add your feta to the top and BAM you’re done!
-This makes 2 servings! Each serving is 1 green, 1 red and 1 blue container (with 2 tsp as well) on the 21 Day Fix
